BOSS HOGG OUTLAWZ - SERVE & COLLECT III

BOSS HOGG OUTLAWZ
SERVE & COLLECT III
2011

01. What Up (Slim Thug, Dre Day, J-Dawg)
Lovin the bass heavy beat. The verses could've been
better maybe, but all in all not bad. 4/5
02. Biz (Slimt Thug, Mug, Dre Day)
Mediocre filler track. Doesn't offer much to my
enjoyment or satisfaction. One nice verse though. 3/5
03. Top Of The World (Le$, Slim Thug, Dre Day, J-Dawg)
Chill as, especially when thugga comes knockin through
with his verse. The hook drags a lil, but it's forgiven. 3.5/5
04. Concrete (Le$, Slim Thug, Mug)
Bumpin this on blast is whasup. Nothing lyrical, but in
the whip this gets my props. Slim is hella dope here but
Mug fucks it up with his flow. 4/5
05. Bang (Mug, Slim Thug, Le$)
Similar to previous track but doesn't hold
the same punch. 3.5/5
06. Anybody Can Get It (Le$, J-Dawg, Slim Thug)
Switchin it up with the production. Not bad but it
lacks in lasting power. The piano that comes through
halfway the first verse is a nice touch though. 3/5
07. Shut Yo Hood Down (Le$, Dre Day, Slim Thug)
Like the sample in this one a lot. It grows on ya
even more when Slim starts spittin.
Nice lil hook and that bassline is sick. 4/5
08. If I Don’t (Dre Day, Slim Thug, J-Dawg)
More use of excellent samples. Love the vibe, but the verses
(beside Slim's) and the hook shoulda been on par with it. 3.5/5
09. Helping Hand (Slim Thug, Mug, J-Dawg)
First truly great track of the alb. The hook sells it and
all come correct for a change. 4.5/5
10. No Moe Pain (J-Dawg, Slim Thug, Herbman)
Nice track yo. Mellow vibe with hard lyrics. A combo to dig.
Great verses and beat, a fly hook, all good. 4/5
11. Fucking This Game Up (Slim Thug, Mug, Dre Day)
Another chill joint with nice drums and sounds. 4/5
12. Hogglife (Slim Thug, Dre Day, Blk, Mug, Le$)
And it continues. Smooth uptempo track with killer
instruments. Overall very soothing. 4.5/5
13. Turn My Knock Up (Slim Thug, Mug, Le$)
A mixture of the first and second half of the alb.
Not bad at all. In the whip it knocks. Dope. 4/5
14. Murder (Dre Day, Le$, Slim Thug)
Seems like a recycled version of the previous track. What?
Not sure how you can pull that off. But it's all gravy. 3.5/5
15. Roofless (Hoodstar Chantz, Lil Ray, Sir Daily, King Rashee, Blk)
Favourite track. Sick beats that keeps you on a high and all
artists bring some to the table. 4.5/5
16. Get It (Blk, Mug)
Excellent closure for the alb. Very chill again. 4.5/5

REVIEW
Overall this album is indeed a smooth ride all the way through.
To really bump it for the sake of just listening to it and marvel,
it falls a little short...but in the background while cruisin,
the net or the streets, it's defintily worthy of repeat.
It might still grow on me though. So far no 5/5 tracks although
Roofless comes close. 2nd half of the alb is superior and
Slim Thug stands out of course.
Overall Score: 8/10

ACE HOOD - BLOOD SWEAT AND TEARS

ACE HOOD
BLOOD SWEAT AND TEARS
2011

1.  King Of The Streets (Feat. T-Pain)
Starts off like any other T-Pain featured track
but when Ace comes in, it knocks. Initially rated
higher, but this one does wear off...still fire 4/5
2.  Go N Get It
Harda than a mu'fucka...how i like it....Ace goes off.
Simple but effective 4.5/5
3.  Errythang (Feat. Yo Gotti)
More of the grimey feel and Yo Gotti is a nice addition.
The production is nice but lacks in the sweet spots 4/5
4.  Hustle Hard
Very similar to Go N Get It, but goes even harder.
The chorus is sick. Hustle hard and bump it hard 5/5
5.  Body 2 Body (Feat. Chris Brown)
Not feeling this. As soon as the beat starts you
know it's gonna be doo doo. Kinda bitch made overall. 2/5
6.  Memory Lane (Feat. Kevin Cossum)
Great sample taking you back. Ace flows nicely over it.
Not feeling the hook nor the dude though.
Too much Kid Cudi-ish whom I loath.
Overall doable thanks to Ace's zest. 3.5/5
7.  Letter To My Exs
This is that crack fo real. Awesome verses and the beat
makes it even better. Ace did this one. 5/5
8.  Beautiful (Feat. Kevin Cossum)
A better effort from Kevin Cossum though still
should've used maybe Jeremih on the hook. Not bad. 4/5
9.  Lord Knows
Mellow track and nicely produced but besides Ace
laying it down it doesn't offer much more. 3/5
10. Bitter World
2nd Least favourite track of the alb. Ace flows
like every new young rapper out there and it
shits me. The beat is nice though. 2.5/5
11. Spoke To My Momma
I love this one. Everything just works. Beat is chill,
Ace is hood and the whole song is crack. 5/5
12. Hustle Hard (Remix) (Feat. Rick Ross And Lil Wayne)
Even though it's the same, Ross and even Lil Wayne add to
the original. This is what Wayne should've been on C4. 5/5

REVIEW
I never thought Ace Hood could come out with this.
I admit the album migth wear of after a while (took time to review)
but the stand-out tracks still make you wanna come back
for anotha listen. I sure have bumped the hell out of it and
will definitely cop this. And don't judge a book by it's cover
(the cover is very questionable right?)

GLASSES MALONE - BEACH CRUISER

GLASSES MALONE
BEACH CRUISER
2011

                                                               01 G Bo (Intro)
02 Kickstand
Wes' wes' to the fullest. Real rap. Malone does his thing. 4.5/5
03 Eastsidin f. Snoop Dogg & Nipsey Hu$$le
Typical club banga, but man it hooks you in. Sick beat.
Malone goes hard, Snoop is snoop o the hook and Nipsey
steals the show. This dude is underrated. 4.5/5
04 Certified f. Akon
Took me some to get used to Akon being on this track
but it's really a nice track and G Malone makes it
his own. This dude is raw and i knew it first time
i heard him spit years ago. 4.5/5
05 Dope
Crazy beat, not really a hit but it grows on ya. 4/5
06 Off Safety f. Latoya Williams & Mack 10
Female type of track, but nothing watered down.
Nice lil song. Great to see Mack 10 making the alb. 4.5/5
07 Hold On (Rare Breed) f. T. Lopez
This is on some ol' skool funk type shit. Lil outta place
but i can dig it. 3.5/5
08 I Get Doe f. The Cataracs
Commercial track right here, but Glasses makes
it work with his verses. Likin the hook too 4/5
09 Rich N Thuggin f. Ya Boy
Not bad, but with Ya boy featuring i'd expect some more.
Love Malone's verses though. 4/5
10 Car Wash
Sick beat, that's what i'm talkin bout. Classic. 5/5
11 Call Me T.I.
Not sure about this one. Not at all west coast fo real.
More like a Rick Ross song. Still allright though. 3.5/5
12 Til Da Sun Come Up f. T-Pain, Rick Ross & Birdman
Radio material, but it's a tight joint with Ricky starting
off strong. Since Malone is signed to Cash Money
it had to have Birdman on a track at least. Typical. 3.5/5
13 No Sympathy f. Jay Rock
Not a fan of Jay Rock and he takes down the whole track.
Shit hook but Malone is still awesome though 3/5
14 Club Heaven
My favourite joint. Like the title, it's heaven. 5/5
15 Feel Good Muzik f. Latoya Williams
Another favourite. Love the breakdown at the end. 5/5
16 Just Waitin (Bonus Track)
Why would this NOT be on the album??
Awesome throwback joint. Sweet as saccharine 5/5
17 Stronger (Bonus Track)
This one could've been left out maybe, but it's
not a bad track per se. Grows on ya! 4/5

BONUS CD
01.My Turn (feat. Kam, Latoiya Williams, Lupe Fiasco, & Wyclef Jean)
02.I'mma Pray (feat. Tyrese)
03.Go Big
04.Fuck With Me (feat. Manny Fresh)
05.Haterz (Feat. Lil Wayne & Birdman)
Still to review this bonus cd!

REVIEW
Glasses Malone's previous collaborative alb with Mack 10,
Money Music, was one of the best albs of 2011. I'd expected
something similar, but it wasn't really like that. But this shows
the talent that Glasses Malone is. He made this album his own.
Rap will never die with cats like this bringing out quality raps.
Overall score: 8.8/10

LIL WAYNE - THA CARTER IV

LIL WAYNE
THA CARTER IV
2011

First up, real fans of Lil Wayne since the beginning know what's up.
Though Carter 3 was a great album, everything went sour after that
and most will say after carter 2. Tha Block is Hot & Lights Out &
anything Hot Boys IS the real Lil Wayne and will always be.
Dude has become a gimmick and only appeals to the ignorant now.
Anyway, lemme break this down, to much chagrin.
1. Intro
Lemme state it here already, Wayne's voice has become
as annoying as Drake's (whom I blame for Wayne's demise)
With that said this track is kinda killa though. 4/5
2. Blunt Blowin
Easy to dismiss this one, but once the real beat comes
knocking through, this track is sick. Hate wayne's voice
and flow though, but i got passed that here. 4/5
3. MegaMan
Hard beat and a non-soft Wayne. It's a win. 4.5/5
4. 6 Foot 7 Foot (Feat. Cory Gunz)
As annoying as it is, Wayne does go off.
Cory Gunz on the other hand is one of the worst rappers
out right now and his verse starts off as fuck. What a joke.
Fuck him. Anyone else, even Drake and i'd rate higher. 3.5/5
5. Nightmares Of The Bottom
Fuck this shit fo real. worst flow=drake. Way to ruin a
nice lil beat with potential. Yep yep my ass Wayne. 2.5/5
6. She Will (Feat. Drake)
More drake copycattin...seriously, this is why wayne
is wayne no more. Guess this for the new ignorant
i mentioned before. 1/5
7. How To Hate (Feat. T-Pain)
I don't mind T-Pain, but this is straight bitch. Wayne is worse 0/5
8. Interlude (Feat. Tech N9ne)
This says it all, best track on the alb, but no Wayne in site.
And why is 3 Stacks uncredited?? Just lame. No rating
9. John (Feat. Rick Ross)
Sounds like it should've been on Mayback Music Group's alb.
Ross murders Wayne on his own track. Sad. 4/5
10. Abortion
I actualy had to stop listening to the track in order
to review it. That's how much it annoys. 1/5
11. So Special (Feat. John Legend)
What an ugly beat, this is what's wrong with hip-hop today.
You dissapoint John Legend. 0/5
12. How To Love
Nice try for real, but we're talking about
Lil Wayne singing like Drake. I wonder who's the bitch
in their relationship. 1/5
13. President Carter
Really the only track worthy of the carter legacy
(and perhaps Megaman). Too little too late. 4.5/5
14. Its Good (Feat. Drake & Jadakiss)
Jadakiss all the way, only reason to listen to this. 3.5/5
15. Outro (Feat. Bun B, Nas, Shyne & Busta Rhymes)
Again no Wayne, I'm not complaining, but c'mon,
on your own album? Not feeling nas too much.
All still murder any other wayne verse on the alb.
Pointless track and really not that good, by any measure. 3/5
16. I Like The View (Bonus)
At least make a bonus worhty. Ugly as fuck 1/5
17. Mirror (Feat. Bruno Mars) (Bonus)
Ridiculous, in a bad way. Only females will like this. 1/5
18. Two Shots (Bonus)
Perfect way to end this album, with mediocrity. 1/5

REVIEW
As expected, I did not enjoy this and will not willingly
put this on again. Maybe I need more time to get into it,
but there's no excuses for Wayne sounding like Drake 90% of the time.
Seriously what happened? I'm just glad the real Cash Money
is not part of this anymore, Mannie, B.G., Juve, Turk...
real recognize real and thankfully these dudes did with Wayne.
Dismiss. Wayne died for me after TC3.
Lil Wayne is the Tiger Woods of Rap period. Nuff said.
Overall Score: 4/10

WALE - THE ELEVEN ONE ELEVEN THEORY

WALE
THE ELEVEN ONE ELEVEN THEORY
2011

01. “Theory” 11. 1. 11
Nice little intro right here, nothing more nothing less.
02. Fuck You

Not bad for an opening track but it feels like it's missing something 3.5/5
03. Drums N Shit (produced by Deputy)
Holy shit...loud ass production, very appropriate title but man i like it.
Wale goes ape and the beat is bananas, perfect combo right? 4/5
04. Chain Music

Starts of generic, but the good kind. Very dope cut and that hook
with Ricky is catchy as. Wale sounds on a roll 4.5/5
05. Lacefrontin

Ol' skool in the house with this one. Ill beat and again
Wale fits on it like a glove. Lets get it on! 4/5
06. Mother Nature (Slow Jammin) (produced by BuBu)

Flippin it on the slow side here but it sure delivers along with
Wale whomaybe  could've been a lil better, but it's a nice listen 4/5
07. Barry Sanders (produced by DJ Toomp)

I love DJ Toomp, especially his snarework. Not sure what he was
going for with this one, but thanks to Wale the whole thing works 4/5
08. Bait

This track hits you in the face like Ruga Rell, hard as hell. Sick one 4.5/5
09. Passive Aggres-Her (produced by Sonny Digital)

Now this is on some laid back shit. It is awesome to say the least and
Wale proves he sure can flow. Lovin the hook and whole vibe 5/5
10. Fairy Tales (feat. Lil Duval) (produced by Lil C)

Another dope production, this time from Lil C, who knew.
Wale makes the most of it once again. 4.5/5
11. Ocean Drive (feat Black Cobain, Magazeen & Tre)

Not totally a fan but it's not a bad track . Wale is nice though 3.5/5
12. Samples N Shit
Man you gotta love this one. Wale grabs your attention off the bat. 4.5/5
13. Ambitious Girl, Pt. 2 (feat. J. Holiday)

Not a fan of J H and not a fan of this track...what a boring hook. 2.5/5 for Wale
14. Let’s Chill (feat. Lloyd)

More RnB ish and just like the previous track not a huge fan. Skip? 2.5/5
15. Pick.. Six

I'm still on the fence with this one. 3/5
16. Varsity Blues

Gotta call it, favourite track of the alb! Awesome concept and one
hell of beat with some dope verses delivered righteous by Wale. 5/5
17. Underdog (produced by Hit-Boy)

Lovin the verses and the beat keeps you vibin all the way till the end. 4.5/5
18. The Podium (feat. Black Cobain, Tre & Tone P)

Takes a while to hit it's stride, but once it does you're hooked.
Nice features all around and nice lil hook. 4.5/5
19. Globetrotters (Hidden Track)

Sick beat but Wale does not do it total justice with that flow. Still tight. 4.5/5

REVIEW
Even though it's a mixtape, i had to review it...and my first thought? Thank god
it doesn't sound like a mixtape. This could've easily been his follow-up to
Attention Deficit. Not sure why it's not. The production is seriously on point
and Wale sounds better than ever. Very nicely done.
Overall Score: 8.5/10

GAME - THE R.E.D. ALBUM - WEST COAST

GAME
THE R.E.D. ALBUM
2011

1. Dr. Dre (Intro)
2. The City - ft. Kendrick Lamar

This took me a while to get into. Still don't like Kendrick Lamar
but gotta give props where props due, he goes off here.
As far as Game himself goes, he's equally good on the track. 4/5
3. Drug Test - ft. Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, & Sly

This is basically a supbar track that had the potential to be
better but unfortunately it wears off quickly. 3/5
4. Martians vs. Goblins - ft. Tyler, the Creator & Lil Wayne
For one who doesn't like Tyler at all and who turned his back
on Wayne post TC3, i do love this track.
Beat is ill and the lyrics is sick as fuck! Game is game. 4.5/5
5. Red Nation - ft. Lil Wayne
Three 6 Mafia used the sample better, but this track is real tight.
Love the production and some solidness all around. 4.5/5
6. Dr. Dre 1 (Interlude)
7. Good Girls Go Bad - ft. Drake

I can't front, i fuckin hate Drake more than Ghostface does,
but this is one of my fav cuts of the alb. The use of the sample
alone makes me forgive drizzy's whack ass presence,
who for once is not that bad...and Game is game. 4.5/5
8. Ricky

This is some clever shit. Whomeva came up with the idea of
this track deserves a mention. Love the whole production.
And Game is awesome on the whole damn thing. 5/5
9. The Good, The Bad, The Ugly

I love it, i love it, i love it. Captivating and e'ything. 5/5
10. Heavy Artillery - ft. Rick Ross & Beanie Sigel

Some mo' fly shit with great features from
the boss and the bully. 4.5/5
11. Paramedics - ft. Young Jeezy

It's aaight and all, but feels somewhat outta place here.
Might've been better if Game didn't sound like he literally
sucked Jeezy's ass...i mean c'mon. 3/5
12. Speakers on Blast - ft. E-40 & Big Boi
After a few spins, i actually can stand the hook now.
E-Feezy and Daddy Fat Sacks do more than their thing
and the whole song is growin on me fast. 4/5
13. Hello - ft. Lloyd
Ok, i'm not gone front here either, i fucks wit the lady joints.
And this is no exception. It's soft as hell fo real, but
let's just call this one a guilty pleasure. Who cares. 4/5
14. All the Way Gone - ft. Mario & Wale
More moosh, but, Mario and Wale elevate it for me. Dunno why.
Game is kinda mediocre in compairison. 4/5
15. Pot of Gold - ft. Chris Brown

I'm just gonna pretend i was dropped on the head
in my infant days. This track is dope yo. And i don't usually
do commercial radio boo boo's. Still...4.5/5
16. Dr. Dre 2 (Interlude)
17. All I Know - ft. Luu Breeze

This is the type of track i'd expect really. 0/5 nuff said!
18. Born in the Trap

Talk about doin a 180, 360, 720, whateva, fuck man!
Game at his best, wit a lil help from Preemo. 5/5
19. Mama Knows - ft. Nelly Furtado

I didn't feel this at all at first. Beat wasn't doing it
and Nelly F sounds outta whack. Bitch made hook,
f'n annoying. But Game's verses and flow make you
listen again, and it pays off. Now i approve. 3/5
20. California Dream
Stop procreating is all i gotta say. Beat gets on ya nerves too.
I do like the ending for some reason. 2.5/5
21. Dr. Dre (Outro)

I was never a fan of Game and don't feel the need to
listen to dude. The name droppin doesn't fly with me
and his voice is an acquired taste. However, expecting
nothing at all, this album did surprise me. Definitely his
best effort to date and i can actually breeze through it.
But seriously, Game, Kendrick, Tyler, Wayne AND Drake?
Instant fail in my book, but this just goes to show
one has to have an open mind. And i'm glad i do!

MAYBACH MUSIC GROUP - SELF MADE VOL.1

MAYBACH MUSIC GROUP
SELF MADE VOL.1
2011

1. Selfmade – Wale, Meek Mill, Pill, Rick Ross, & Teedra Moses
First track isn't very promising. Not feeling the beat. It's not
going anywhere really. None of the verses rise above. 3/5
2. Tupac Back – Meek Mill feat. Rick Ross

That's more like it and i'm glad this is the direction the
majority of the alb is going in. Pretty fly. 4/5
3. 600 Benz – Wale feat. Rick Ross & Jadakiss

Very similar to Tupac Back. Nice feature from Jada though. 4/5
4. Pacman – Pill feat. Rick Ross

Awesome fuck-shit-up-n-the-club kinda track. 4.5/5
5. By Any Means – Wale, Meek Mill, Pill, & Rick Ross

Fuck outta here, this is too ill...sick verses and that beat is
just like all the drum and hi-hat rolls...siiiiick Alaikum-Salaam! 5/5
6. Fitted Cap – Wale, Meek Mill, & Rick Ross feat. J. Cole
More of the same swag...Meek Mill is dope man...go nuts wusaa 5/5
7. Rise – Pill, Wale, & Teedra Moses feat. CyHi the Prynce & Curren$y

The alb changes directions with this track, but man how sweet it is.
Very ill track with some dope verses and smooth vibe. 5/5
8. That Way – Wale feat. Jeremih & Rick Ross

The Jeremih stamp all ova this muthafucka, right?
Sick shit and one of my favs of the alb. The beat alone is golden
but then with those verses. Man oh man, Wale & Ricky whasup. 5/5
9. Ima Boss – Meek Mill feat. Rick Ross

After That Way it's feels mediocre, which it prolly is, but once you
get into it and the hi-hat kicks in, it's not that bad. Meek is killa tho 3.5/5
10. Don’t Let Me Go – Pill feat. Gunplay
Feels like a Big K.R.I.T. song. Pretty dope shit right here.
2nd verse is so smooth. Pill kills it. Props due... 5/5
11. Pandemonium – Meek Mill feat. Wale & Rick Ross

Never truly lifts off, but another solid track. Wale & Ricky Rozay
back and forth feels just right you know 4/5
12. Play Your Part – Wale feat. Meek Mill & Rick Ross

Not a bad track at all, Ricky does his thing and towards the middle
the track already grows on ya. Wale is nice man. 4/5
13. Ridin’ On Dat Pole – Pill

Come on, we could all do without this one. Filler joint. 3/5
14. Big Bank – Pill, Meek Mill, Torch, & Rick Ross feat. French Montana

Hells yeah, and we back! Big bank take little bank! No shit! 5/5
15. Running Rebels – Wale feat. Meek Mill & Teedra Moses

Very nice track to end with. Sick beat and Wale and Meek are perfect
on the beat. Teedra does her thing too. 5/5

I did not expect this album to grab my attention like it did.
Between the two vibes the album clearly has, it's just a perfect blend.
Except for the one or two filler tracks this
is def one to put on repeat and just do whatever to it.
All artist came correct and it makes for one nice mixture.
Where's vol. 2 already??
Overall Score: 9.2/10
