KEAK DA SNEAK - KEAK HENDRIX

KEAK DA SNEAK
KEAK HENDRIX
2011

1. We Ready
So so opening track that should've been
more, but still decent enough. 3.5/5
2. Format
Very uptempo track i'm usually not big on,
but it's not bad...the hook is aaight. 3.5/5
3. They So Wet
Typical hyphy beat, but the sounds and
hook is pretty tight and when it drops
it hooks you in. Keak is awesome.
Sounds even better with headphones. 4.25/5
4. Punk Ho
So simple but so sick and that hook is just
ridiculous...me no, me no, me no...4/5
5. I Do What I Rap About
If you're not a fan of Keak you will hate
this song big time...but i love it, though
it took time to warm up to it. 4/5
6. Rollin
Awesome banger. Hook is golden. 5/5
7. The Weekend
Not feeling this one,  nothing really works.
Should've been left out. 2/5
8. Mane Squeeze
Now we're talking. There's always a track
like this on Keak's albs and they're always
a perfect combination. 5/5
9. Woofers Knockin
Damn yo, bass enough? Crazy shit, but not
a favourite...hook is just too much. 3/5
10. Automatic ft. Ike Dola
Tight beat, great verses from Keak and Dola
and the hook is simple yet effective. 4.5/5
11. Aint Goin Nowhere
Took awhile  but this one is dope as hell.
Love Keak's hook qnd the beat knocks. 4.5/5
12. They Call Me
Also needs some extra listens, but another
solid track that might get tedious. 4/5
13. Really Wit It
Another favourite. Beat is sick a and Keak
is great with the hook and the verses. 5/5
14. Mob Music
When you get into it, this one is the shit!
Nothing special per se , but damn... 5/5
15. If I Wanted
Very similar again, but another banga. 5/5
16. Usual ft. Matt Blaque
Favourite track! And you know when Keak
and Matt Blaque (who always tops off anything he is on)
come together, they deliver pure dope.
"Night Rider" from Messy Marv's Taliban
album is still in my head after all these years.
Perfect ending to the album. 5/5

Really on the surface all these tracks sound similar
and the beats got nothing going on. But they say
the same from Reggaeton beats...
you just gotta be into it and you have to love Keak here.
His style and flow is very unique and it's either love or hate.
Regardless this album is another dope release from Keak,
up there with"Mobb Boss'" and "Deified"
(which is still one of his finest releases).
In the ride the bass takes over and takes away from
pretty much everything else, but still...that's Keak!
A must cop for any Bay Area Rap fan and you know
I got my copy from rapbay.com. Yeeeee!
Overall Score: 9/10
